Simon Critchley
Simon Critchley is Hans Jonas Professor at The New School for Social Research in New York and Professor of Philosophy at The European Graduate School in Saas-Fee. He is a leading contemporary philosopher working on topics including ethics, political theory, and aesthetics with great attention to literature and drama. His 2007 book, Infinitely Demanding, provides the most comprehensive look at his philosophy where, uniquely, he not only theoretically examines philosophical issues, but also attempts to give them a practical dimension. His newest book, Bowie, combines autobiography and philosophy in an analysis of the pop star’s oeuvre.
